Microsoft Launches Communications Via Internet

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - PT Microsoft Indonesia Thursday launched a technology Unified Communications (UC) for consumers in India to provide solutions to increase the effectiveness of communication in the business press and half the cost of communication through the integration of the phone company via the Internet (Voice over Internet Protocol / VoIP).

"In the upcoming decade, innovations in technology-based software will be involved in many transformation communication. To that end, we collaborate with our strategic partners to create a more advanced solution that can help users communicate and collaborate at work," said President Director of PT Micosoft indonesia, Tony Chen at the launching ceremony in Jakarta on Thursday.

With the integration of VoIP in this device, claiming Tony can not only improve the effectiveness of work but also can cut costs such as business travel costs because they do not need to do more business trip again.

"Unified Communications will transform business communications as a fundamental that has occurred in the e-mail in 1990," said Tony.

Reports from IDC Worldwide Unified Communication System 2007 - 2011 Forecast on 1 August 2007, the estimated size of the worldwide UC market ranges 4.8 million U.S. dollars in the year 2011 and is estimated to reach 14.5 million U.S. dollars.

In the same opportunity, Unified Communications Group Manager of PT Microsoft Indonesia Susetio Lukman said there are already three companies in Indonesia that use UC yiatu PT Excelcomindo Pratama Tbk, PT Sinar Niaga Sejahtera (SNS) and Pretrosea Tbk PT.

While the UC system to implement this in Indonesia, Lukman said Microsoft in cooperation with Nortel and Hewlet-Packard (HP) Services.
